Welcome to stowed! I’m Katie Levell, wife of Tim and mum of Jonas (10), Caspar (8) and Malachy (6). I love imagining practical and creative solutions to the interiors problems you get in real-life homes, and in my professional life I advise people on how to make these decisions. I think clever storage ideas and working out how kitchens and bathrooms function best can really change the way a household operates. I’m also a bit of a day-dreamer, so being allowed to muse on things like this for other people seems like the ultimate job.
We’ve always bought homes with potential. We made a funky pad out of a first floor conversion flat, scraped by on a rock-bottom budget updating a classic Victorian home, and in 2012 undertook our biggest renovation yet, with a large and stately double fronted Cheshire semi.
In this blog I’ll show you some of the befores and afters of our most recent house renovation, keep you posted on good ideas, and also suggest a few things I’m predicting you might want to put in your house in the near future.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you’ll be back soon!
